Managing Your Subscription

Quick version: You can upgrade, downgrade, change your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your subscription from Settings > Billing at the bottom of your Settings page.

Finding Your Billing Settings

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Scroll down to the Billing card at the bottom of the page.

Here you'll see your current plan, billing status, payment method, and next billing date.

Upgrading from Base to Pro

Upgrading gives you access to marketing tools like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, call tracking, and the ROI dashboard.

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select the Pro plan.
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing.
  5. Complete the checkout.

Your upgrade takes effect right away. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing period.

Downgrading from Pro to Base

If you no longer need the marketing tools, you can switch back to the Base plan.

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select the Base plan.
  4. Confirm the change.

When you downgrade, your marketing campaigns will be paused. Your campaign data and history stay in your account in case you upgrade again later.

Note that Base is limited to 3 service locations. If you have more than 3 locations on Pro, you may need to remove some before downgrading.

Switching Between Monthly and Annual Billing

Annual billing saves you 2 months per year (about 17% off).

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select your current plan but choose the other billing cycle (monthly or annual).
  4. Confirm the change.

Changing Your Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Find your current card on file (it shows the card brand and last 4 digits).
  3. Click Update next to your card info.
  4. Enter your new card details.
  5. Click Save.

Fieldkit accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Viewing Your Invoices

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Click View Invoices.
  3. A list of all your past invoices will appear, showing the date and amount.
  4. Click the document icon next to any invoice to download the PDF.

Canceling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Yes, Cancel to confirm.

Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after that.

What Happens When You Cancel

  • You keep full access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Your data is not deleted. If you come back later, everything will still be there.
  • If you're on Pro, your ad campaigns will be paused.
  • You can resubscribe at any time from the Billing section.

Reactivating a Canceled Subscription

If you canceled but changed your mind before your billing period ends:

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to the Billing section.
  2. You'll see a notice that your subscription is set to cancel on a specific date.
  3. Click Reactivate to keep your subscription going.

Your subscription will continue as normal and you'll be billed on the next billing date.

Payment Issues

If a payment fails, you'll see a "Payment Failed" badge in your Billing section. Update your payment method to resolve the issue and keep your account active.

Tips

  • You can upgrade or downgrade at any time -- no contracts or cancellation fees
  • Check your invoices regularly for your records or for tax purposes
  • If you cancel, your data stays safe -- you can come back anytime
  • Annual billing is the best deal if you know you'll stick with Fieldkit
