Your Dashboard

Quick version: The dashboard is your home base. It shows your daily schedule, job pipeline, items that need attention, and financial overview -- all in one place.

Welcome Screen

When you log in, the dashboard greets you by name and shows everything you need for the day.

Quick Actions

At the top of the dashboard, you'll see four buttons for the things you'll do most:

  • New Customer -- Add a new customer to your account.
  • New Estimate -- Create and send a price quote.
  • New Job -- Schedule a new job.
  • New Invoice -- Bill a customer for completed work.

These are shortcuts. You can always do the same things from the sidebar menu.

Getting Started Checklist

When you first start using Fieldkit, you'll see a progress tracker that walks you through your first key milestones:

  1. Add your first customer.
  2. Create your first job.
  3. Send your first invoice.
  4. Receive your first payment.

Once you've done all four, the checklist disappears and you're off to the races.

Today's Schedule

This section shows all the site visits and jobs you have scheduled for today. It helps you plan your day without having to open the calendar.

Needs Attention

  • Awaiting Signature -- Estimates you sent that the customer hasn't signed yet.
  • Expiring Soon -- Estimates that are about to expire.
  • Invoices Past Due -- Invoices that are overdue for payment.
  • Needs Invoice -- Completed jobs that haven't been invoiced yet.
  • Unscheduled Jobs -- Jobs that don't have a date on the calendar yet.

Click any item to go straight to that list and take action.

Job Pipeline

Four cards show your active work at a glance:

  • Scheduled -- Jobs coming up on the calendar.
  • In Progress -- Jobs currently underway.
  • Completed -- Jobs that are finished.
  • Needs Invoice -- Completed jobs waiting to be billed.

Click any card to see the full list of jobs with that status.

Financial Overview

A summary of your revenue, invoiced amounts, and payments collected. You can switch between time periods (this week, this month, etc.) to see how the business is doing.
