Manage Service Locations
Quick version: If you serve multiple areas, you can add separate locations in Settings under Service Locations. Each location has its own ZIP code, service radius, and target cities.
What Multi-Location Means
Most contractors work from a single location or service area. But if your business covers multiple regions -- like offices in two different cities, or separate crews serving different parts of the state -- you can set up each one as its own location in Fieldkit.
Each location has:
- A name (like "North Dallas" or "Austin Office")
- A primary ZIP code for that area
- A service radius (how far you travel from that ZIP)
- Target cities within that area
Do I Need Multi-Location?
You probably don't need multi-location if:
- You work from one address and serve the area around it
- Your whole team operates in the same general area
- You just want to update your service area -- edit your main business info instead
You do need multi-location if:
- You have offices or crews in different cities
- You run separate service areas that don't overlap
- You want to run separate marketing campaigns for different regions
Check Your Plan
Multi-location is available on the Pro plan ($198/month). The Base plan supports up to 3 locations.
- Base plan: Up to 3 locations
- Pro plan: Unlimited locations
If you don't see the Service Locations section in your settings, you may need to upgrade your plan.
Add a New Location
- Click Settings in the left sidebar.
- Scroll down to the Service Locations card.
- Click Add Location (or Add First Location if this is your first).
- Fill in:
- Location name -- a descriptive name for this area
- Primary ZIP code -- the center of this service area
- Service radius -- how far you travel from that ZIP (5 to 100 miles)
- Target cities -- select at least 1 city (up to 15) within this area
- Click Save.
Your first location is automatically marked as the primary location.
Edit a Location
- Go to Settings and find the Service Locations card.
- Click on the location you want to edit.
- Update the name, ZIP code, radius, or target cities.
- Click Save.
You can also click Manage All to see all your locations on one page.
Set a Primary Location
Your primary location is your main service area. It's used as the default when creating new campaigns.
- Go to the locations management page by clicking Manage All in the Service Locations card.
- Find the location you want to make primary.
- Click to set it as the primary location.
Delete a Location
- Go to the locations management page.
- Find the location you want to remove.
- Click delete.
You cannot delete your primary location. If you need to remove it, set a different location as primary first. You also cannot delete a location that has active marketing campaigns attached to it -- reassign or delete those campaigns first.
Tips
- The counter at the bottom of the Service Locations card shows how many locations you've used out of your plan limit.
- When you first upgrade to a plan that supports locations, Fieldkit automatically creates your first location from your existing business info (ZIP code, radius, and target cities).
- Location settings are separate from your main business information. Your business name, phone, and logo stay the same across all locations.
